Exploring the Beautiful Yorkshire Dales this Summer

If you are planning a staycation in the UK this year, rather than risk the changing of countries from the green list, the expense of PCR testing and of course the risk of bringing covid back with you as an unwelcome souvenir you are not alone at all as demand for holidays in the UK this year has been really high.

For tranquil beauty spots and the ability to get away from the crowds then Yorkshire is a great place to visit for peace and quiet and beautiful countryside surroundings. There is still civilisation around you and you will find plenty of Local things to do in Ripon, but equally there is an abundance of beautiful countryside waiting to be explored.

One part of Yorkshire that makes for a really interesting walk is the Druids Temple. In fact, although you may think this is as old as Stonehenge upon first glance it was actually put together in the 18th Century by the landowner William Danby, a wealthy local man who wanted to create work for local people.

Wensleydale in North Yorkshire is not only home to the famous cheese loved by Wallace and Gromit but is also a fantastic place to enjoy a walk with stunning scenery. Part of the area of outstanding natural beauty, this is a fairly easy walk so is ideal for children or those who aren’t as mobile as they once were!
