Must See Places for your Trip to New Zealand

New Zealand is one of those places that a lot of people have on their bucket list – and with good reason! It is a beautiful country full of natural wonders and you really need a good few weeks here to get the most out of it.

Because many of the beautiful locations are so remote, it is a good idea to look into New Zealand self drive holidays, to make sure that you can get everywhere that you want to go with ease. This also means that you can create your own itinerary.

Dunedin – Head to the South Island to this unique place. It has a real mixture of cultures in its history – both Scottish and Maori combined, so it makes for a really interesting visit. You may also be lucky enough to spot some of the penguins who live on the nearby Otago Peninsula.

 

White Island – If you want to see nature in its most impressive for, then visit the volcano here. This active volcano is a short boat ride from the North Island and is a haven for scientists studying the activity of the volcano.

Glow worm Caves – This is one of New Zealand’s most amazing natural wonders – the underground caves at Waitomo are full of glow worms. Take a boat ride through the caves to see this stunning sight.
